“Maybe if I loved a little more stronger, you would be here…,” a voice whispers on “Lost Love” from the Doug and Patty LP.
Well, meet the voice. Introducing, Carlitta Durand. Known to some, but far too few. You’ve heard her voice on some of your favorite tracks from Little Brother and The Foreign Exchange. Carlitta aka Miss Durand aka Patty Mayonnaise has added just the right touch to many songs.
But, this songtresses most definitely stands on her own two. She has a self-released LP entitled Carlitta’s Way (available) on iTunes and a recently released project, the Doug + Patty LP. You know the ADDIKTS hook you up, so get the free download here.

As you may (or may not know), we are HUGE fans of both Vikter Duplaix and the Super Producer himself, Nicolay. As a special treat and just in time for the holidays, Mr. Duplaix is sharing this new remix of “Electric Love”.
We also have a treat from one of our favorite bands, J*DaVeY. On Christmas, they released their ‘mistape’ Boudoir Synema.
Ms. Carlitta Durand has also released the Doug & Patty EP via Twitter. Having had the pleasure of seeing her live in NYC with the Foreign Exchange, I’m sure this is totally worth giving a listen! Be sure to get your copy here.

We had the pleasure of seeing this brother on stage with The Foreign Exchange, in New York City, a couple weeks ago. His musicianship showed throughout the performance. You could see the passion on his face as he stroked the keys. You can also see the passion and depth in the tracklisting. The songs seem carefully selected and it clearly serves as a compliment to the original material.
As connoisseurs of music, we feel obligated to pass it on. Click here for this injektion of good rhythms. Overall, this is a happy dose. Perfect to be played in the house, car, or on your morning walk. Compliments to those involved in selecting which songs to ‘cover’ on the album. The night it went live on Twitter, Nicolay remarked how glad he was that they’d backed up the servers. Translation – people were waiting on this EP and downloading it like crazy – myself included. This album features Sy Smith, Darien Brockington, Carlitta Durand, Yahzarah, and Phonte. Zo! is currently working on a full-length album, set to be released Summer 2010. The ADDIKTS will be waiting for that!
