This is one of my favorite songs by Lalah because it tells a story about life, love, & relationships. It comes from the jazz album she recorded with Joe Sample entitled The Song Lives On(1999).  The lyrics are enchanting!

This was Mint Condition’s first smash hit in 1991 and it hit number three on the Billboard’s R&B charts. 

Luther is a man that could and still brings chills to the spine.  He knows how to out-sing the young and the old. He is truly missed.
