Ms. Simone reminds us of what to be thankful for in life. It is all about what you do have & not about what you don’t. We are thankful for Nina Simone & her legacy.

Known as the “Godfather of Bass Guitar”, Robert Wilson of the famous Gap Band this past Monday of a massive heart attack.  Robert and his 2 brothers, Charlie and Ronnie formed the trio known as the Gap Band and were born and raise in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Robert was scheduled to headline the Timeless Music Festival in Tulsa on August 28th.

Some of the groups really popular songs, “You Dropped the Bomb On Me“, “Yearning for Your Love“, & “Outstanding” provided the soundtrack for many houseparties in the 70s and beyond.

Today we remember Robert Wilson and how he “Dropped the Bomb on Us” with his bass guitar skills.

God knew what he was doing when He created woman.  He crafted a beautiful work of art.  Apparently Jarrad Anthony agrees.  In this ode to women, shouting out he celebrates our essence.  With so much negative and raunchy music available to our ears, it’s nice to hear a brother simply appreciate us.

I was watching old Martin reruns and the episode when Martin proposed to Gina came on…one of my favorites. Hearing Brian McKnight sing “Never Felt This Way” brought back memories and reminded me how much I loved this song. I decided to search for covers of the song and ran across Natosh, a beautiful Ontario native. Melanie Fiona and Drake may have some competition coming out of Canada. She is a truly talented vocalist.
