We Miss You Wednesday: Mercury, T.C.D & DJ Dr. Rock of Force MD
Today marks the final day of June and the last day of Black Music Month. Just because June is over doesn’t mean the music stops. Known first as the “LD’s”, then the “Force MC’s” and finally, “Force M.D.’s“, MD short for musical diversity. This R&B vocal group was one of the 1st to mix doo wop sound with hip-hop beats.
By the time the group signed to Tommy Boy Records in 1984, they had already made a name for themselves with their Top 10 R&B hit, “Tears” from their Love Letters album.
The group made a number of songs, but probably none as well known as their singles “Tender Love“ (1985)written and produced by Jimmy Jame and Terry Lewis and featured on the Krush Groove soundtrack and ”Love is a House” (1987) from their 3rd album, Touch and Go.
Trajedy struck the group 3 times with the passing of 3 of its members in the 1990s, Charles “Mercury” Nelson, Antoine “T.C.D” Lundy and DJ Dr. Rock.
Today we remember the former Force MD members no longer with us with their hit song, “Tender Love.”
New Music: Zo – “This Could Be The Night” feat. Eric Roberson, Darien Brockington & Big Pooh

Gott a love when you get new music in your inbox. Especially when the names Zo, Eric Roberson, Darien Brockington & Big Pooh are in the subject line and all on the same song. I didn’t even have to listen to know it was gonna be hot. But of course I found the play button and am currently #nowplaying “This Could Be The Night”. Enjoy!!
