During one of our Music ADDIKTS meetings with Shani, I was introduced to a delightful spirit named Bashiyra. I listened to her discuss music and how passionate she was about lyrics and her most recent album, Thought You Knew. And being the ADDIKT I am, I wanted to know more about her, so I checked her out. Being no stranger to music, I learned, she had performed with some great artists(Patti LaBelle and Diana Ross to name a few). During the Fall of last year, Bashiyra released a project infused with jazz, soul, and rock n’ roll. Hailing from the UK, her music is hard to categorize, which I think is the essence of her.
